UNILORIN Alumnus, Oladeinde Olawoyin, Shines at IAEA Global Energy Programme

A distinguished alumnus of the University of Ilorin, Mr. Oladeinde Olawoyin, has once again brought honor to his alma mater on the global stage.

Mr. Olawoyin, who currently serves as the Business, Energy, and Economy Editor at Premium Times, was selected as part of an elite cohort of leading global energy journalists for the prestigious 2026 International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, programme held in June.

The intensive media initiative took place at the Vienna International Centre in Austria and included tours of nuclear facilities in Slovakia and other parts of Europe. The programme focused on deepening journalists' understanding of nuclear energy, energy security, and the role of atomic science in sustainable development.

The selection underscores Mr. Olawoyin’s reputation for insightful reporting on energy and economic issues, and further highlights the quality of graduates produced by the University of Ilorin.
