Unilorin's Owolabi Victor Oluwatobi Shines at 2023 FIDA Week

Congratulations to Owolabi Victor Oluwatobi of the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education, who proudly represented Unilorin at the 2023 FIDA Week.

His impressive performance earned him the second position and a cash prize of ₦15,000.

Furthermore, Distinguished Senator Saliu Mustapha graciously donated ₦50,000 to the University.

However, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, our Vice Chancellor, handed over the donation from Senator Mustapha to Victor, praising his pride-inducing achievement. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Suleiman Ambali, joined the Vice Chancellor to receive Victor Owolabi.

Victor was accompanied to the Vice Chancellor's office by Dr. Bilqis Lawal, Desk Officer of the Consortium of Universities in Kwara State (KU8).

This year's FIDA Week held between 3rd and 9th December 2023, was organised by the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Kwara State Branch, with the theme "The Uprise in Drug Abuse: Role of Parents."

The competition saw participation from eight renowned universities across Kwara State:
