The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has clarified that the approved registration fee for Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations remains ₦250 per course, following reports that some students mistakenly paid ₦500 per examination.
In an internal memorandum issued by the Office of the Registrar on August 5, 2026, the University explained that the approved CBT fee had earlier been communicated in a circular dated July 27, 2026.
Students who paid ₦500 instead of the approved ₦250 have been assured that they will receive refunds for the excess amount.

Management urged affected students to remain calm while arrangements are being made for the refund process.
The University also advised all students to ensure that they pay ₦250 only per CBT examination, as this remains the officially approved fee for the current examination period.
The notice was signed by the Registrar, Mrs. Blossom E. Okorie, and is intended to guide students and prevent further overpayments during the CBT registration process.
