The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has confirmed that students awaiting the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session are eligible to write their first semester examinations.

The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has confirmed that students awaiting the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session are eligible to write their first semester examinations.

In a press release dated February 26, 2026, the Director of Information & Public Relations, Godwin Patrick, stated that the approval was granted by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Odewumi. The decision followed consultations with the Dean of Students, the NELFUND Desk Officer, union executives, class representatives, and information directors.

Affected students are permitted to participate in examinations commencing Monday, March 2, 2026, regardless of pending loan disbursement. The union emphasized that this notice serves as official communication for students to take necessary action.
