University Of Abuja Vice-Chancellor Celebrates Birthday Amidst Praise from Dignitaries

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi, marked her birthday over the weekend with a celebration attended by several high-profile personalities.

The event, organized by her family, took place at the Abuja Continental Hotel and drew dignitaries such as the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State.

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Governor of Katsina State, Hon Aminu Bello Masari, also joined in celebrating Professor Maikudi's birthday. Other notable guests included former Senator Shehu Sani, Executive Secretary of TETFund, Professor Suleiman Bogoro, as well as principal officers, heads of departments, and directors of the University.

In their goodwill messages, the dignitaries congratulated Professor Maikudi, describing her as an exceptional leader. Senator Sani praised her achievements, saying, "Maikudi's achievements are truly remarkable. She is a shining light and an inspiration to our youths and women. I pray for Allah’s guidance and protection over her tenure."

 

Professor Maikudi, who was appointed as the 7th Substantive Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja on December 31, 2024, has made history as the first female Vice-Chancellor of the institution ¹. Her academic career spans over 15 years, with notable achievements including becoming the youngest Professor of Law in Nigeria and the only female professor from the Northwest .
