University of Ibadan Appoints Professor Juwon Tunde Arotiba as New Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic

The Governing Council of the University of Ibadan has approved the appointment of Professor Juwon Tunde Arotiba as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic. He succeeds Professor Aderonke M. Baiyeroju, who retired on August 13, 2025.

Professor Arotiba is a renowned expert in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with over 100 publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals. He has served in various academic and administrative capacities, including Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
