University Of Ibadan DVC Administration Gains Chartered Psychologist Status
The University of Ibadan has announced that its Deputy Vice-Chancellor Administration, Professor Peter O. Olapegba, C.Psych, FNPA, fspsp, has been officially admitted as a Chartered Psychologist by the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), earning recognition as a practising psychologist in Nigeria.

Olapegba, C.Psych, FNPA, fspsp, has been officially admitted as a Chartered Psychologist by the Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), earning recognition as a practising psychologist in Nigeria.

The admission ceremony took place at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, where Professor Olapegba formally received the designation. With this status, he is authorized to practice as a psychologist for a period of two years, effective from January 2026 to December 2028.
According to the Nigerian Psychological Association, a chartered psychologist represents the highest professional standard in psychology, having demonstrated extensive postgraduate training, rigorous research, and practical experience. The designation is legally recognized and indicates a strong commitment to ethical practice and professional excellence.
Professor Olapegba’s achievement highlights his dedication to advancing psychological practice in Nigeria while maintaining the University of Ibadan’s tradition of academic distinction and professional development in its administrative and academic leadership.
