University of Port Harcourt Unveils Gender Responsive SMART Framework in Abuja

The University of Port Harcourt (UniPort) has recorded another milestone as Dr. Chinwoke Clara Ifeanyi-Obi, a lecturer in the institution, officially launched the Gender Responsive SMART Framework (G-SMART Monitor) at the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Abuja.

The innovative tool is designed to mainstream gender in climate change and agricultural policymaking, ensuring equal consideration of women and men in addressing food security challenges.

The unveiling ceremony attracted dignitaries from government, academia, non-governmental organizations, and international development bodies, who commended the framework as a groundbreaking step toward inclusive climate action in Nigeria.
