The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has alerted the public to the activities of fraudulent Facebook accounts using the names “Uniport” and “University of Port Harcourt” to mislead unsuspecting individuals.

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has alerted the public to the activities of fraudulent Facebook accounts using the names “Uniport” and “University of Port Harcourt” to mislead unsuspecting individuals.

In a statement issued by the University, the management cautioned that:
❌ UNIPORT does not sell supplementary forms.
❌ UNIPORT does not offer admission assistance via Facebook or WhatsApp.
❌ All other Facebook pages bearing the University’s name are fake and operated by private individuals with no affiliation to the institution.

The University further emphasized that ✅ the page currently being used is the only official Facebook page of UNIPORT, and for genuine updates, the public should always rely on the official website  www.uniport.edu.ng.

Management also assured that anyone impersonating the institution online will be reported for fraud and intellectual property infringement.

The University urged members of the public not to fall prey to deceitful platforms and to stay vigilant at all times.
