UNIZIK Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, Joins NAAT End-of-Year Congress and Get-Together

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, participated in the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) Unizik Branch end-of-year Congress and get-together on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, participated in the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT) Unizik Branch end-of-year Congress and get-together on Wednesday, 10th December 2025.

The event, held at the University Auditorium, celebrated retired colleagues who served the university with dedication and excellence. The retirees – Engr. Dr. Oguejiofor Chiedozie George, Mr. Egemon Obika, and Engr. Chris Olisakwe – were honored with 7.5kg washing machines, while other members received 25kg bags of rice.

NAAT Chairman, Engr. Chinedu Umembamalu, welcomed participants and thanked the Vice-Chancellor for attending, pledging the Union’s continued collaboration with the administration to advance the university.

In his address, Professor Bond Anyaehie lauded the Union for the recognition of retirees and highlighted the critical role technologists play in the university system. He thanked God on behalf of the retirees and encouraged NAAT members to look forward to a fulfilling retirement.

Reaffirming his commitment to the Union, the Vice-Chancellor stated, “NAAT's problem is my problem,” underscoring Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s dedication to resolving challenges and promoting institutional growth.
