The achievement was confirmed in a formal congratulatory message from Enactus Nigeria, which commended the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Ebunoluwa Oduwole, and the institution’s management for fostering an enabling environment for student innovation and enterprise development.

According to the organisation, the performance of the ACU team reflects a strong combination of creativity, discipline, and collaborative execution, positioning the project as one of the most promising student-led innovations in the country.

As part of the competition structure, each of the top six teams will receive an initial seed grant of ₦150,000 to support early-stage implementation of their projects. The Gaz-Cibus initiative will now enter a monitored execution phase under the supervision of the Enactus Nigeria Country Office, with structured evaluations designed to track progress, adaptability, and measurable impact.
