Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce nine new full-time undergraduate programmes. The approval follows a recent resource assessment visit conducted by experts to evaluate the university's readiness for the new courses.
Starting from the 2024/2025 academic session, the university will offer the following programmes:
1. Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.)
2. Bachelor of Science in Public Health (B.Sc.)
3. Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS)
4. Bachelor of Science in Cyber Security (B.Sc.)
5. Bachelor of Science in Data Science (B.Sc.)
6. Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (B.Sc.)
7. Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (B.Sc.)
8. Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (B.Sc.)
9. Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology (B.Sc.)
The approval is for full-time programmes only. Any request to offer these courses in part-time mode will require additional approval from the NUC. The university must adhere to the approved titles and nomenclature for these programmes. Any changes to these details would need further authorization from the Commission.
