The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, on Wednesday, 7th January 2026, officially handed over the site for the construction of a blockwork perimeter fence at the Abubakar Barde Campus.

The Vice Chancellor of Adamawa State University (ADSU), Mubi, Professor Augustine Clement, on Wednesday, 7th January 2026, officially handed over the site for the construction of a blockwork perimeter fence at the Abubakar Barde Campus.

The project fulfills a promise made by the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, during the combined 15th, 16th, and 17th Convocation Ceremonies in November 2025. It is aimed at addressing growing security challenges on campus.

The Governor had earlier approved the construction of the perimeter fence on 12th December 2025 during a State Executive Council meeting. The contract has been awarded to Biagham Keat Water Alliance Ltd, a reputable construction firm engaged under the Adamawa State Government’s intervention projects for the University.

At the handover ceremony, Professor Clement expressed gratitude to Governor Fintiri for the timely intervention and urged the contractor to ensure quality delivery and adhere strictly to the project timeline. He also prayed for divine guidance and protection for the Governor in his efforts to elevate Adamawa State University and the state to global standards in development.
