AE-FUNAI Extends Registration for 2026/2027 Post-UTME, Direct Entry Screening, Announces Cut-Off Marks

Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has extended the registration deadline for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening exercise to Friday, August 14, 2026.

The extension gives prospective candidates additional time to complete their applications and meet all admission requirements for the new academic session.

The university said candidates who scored at least 150 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and selected AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution are eligible to apply, provided they meet the minimum screening score for their chosen programme.

Candidates who did not initially choose AE-FUNAI as their first choice but wish to study at the institution are also eligible to apply after completing a Change of Institution/Course on the JAMB portal on or before Friday, August 14, 2026. The same requirement applies to Direct Entry candidates.

The university stated that applicants are required to pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000 through the university's application portal at apply.funai.edu.ng. Candidates are expected to validate their JAMB registration number, provide a valid email address and phone number, verify their email using the OTP sent to them, make payment via bank transfer to the designated account, and complete the registration process online.

According to the institution, the 2026/2027 screening exercise will be conducted through an internal screening of candidates' credentials, with no physical aptitude test.

AE-FUNAI also advised all applicants to ensure that their O'Level and Direct Entry results are uploaded on the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) on or before the registration deadline, warning that applications without uploaded results will not be processed.
