Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) Centre for Basic Studies, Obio Akpa Campus, has announced admission opportunities for the 2025/2026 academic session, offering an alternative pathway for students without JAMB results.

The centre invites qualified candidates to apply for its Pre-Degree and JUPEB programmes, with admission starting from May 1, 2025.

Key highlights include:  

- First-year students (2021/2022) were admitted into year two the following year and are now in their final year  

- Students (2023/2024) have been offered admission into year two and they are now in year three

- Opportunities for those struggling to pass JAMB or gain admission into their preferred institutions  

Available programmes:  

- Pre-Degree Programme: 9 months programme, pre-degree students will be admitted into year one of the University  

- JUPEB Programme: 12 months programme, this set of students will be admitted into year two of the University

Requirements:  

- Pre-Degree Programme: Applicants must possess a minimum of five O'Level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, and other three subjects relevant to their proposed programmes at not more than two sittings

- Payment of non-refundable registration fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira only is required

- Form should be submitted with photocopies of your credentials to the office of the Admission Officer, AKSU Centre for Basic Studies, Obio Akpa Campus
