Akwa Ibom State University Commences Orientation Exercise for 2025/2026 Freshers

The orientation exercise for newly admitted students of Akwa Ibom State University commenced on a positive note, with activities for Day One conducted across the University’s Main Campus and Obio Akpa Campus.

The exercise was held simultaneously at both campuses and recorded significant participation from newly admitted students. The programme is aimed at acquainting fresh students with the academic structure, regulations and general campus life of the University.

Day One activities were attended by key principal officers of the University, highlighting the institutional importance attached to the orientation exercise. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Otoabasi Akpan was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, while other officials present included the Registrar, the Bursar, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, as well as other principal officers and senior staff.

The orientation exercise is expected to continue as scheduled and will be brought to a close with an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service on Sunday at the Chapel of Praise, Main Campus.
