Al-Hikmah University Concludes 4th Inter-University Quran Competition; Awards "Servants of the Qur’an"

The grand finale of the 4th Al-Hikmah Inter -University Qur’an Recitation Competition held today at the university auditorium.

The event was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN. Also in attendance were: the founder of Al-Hikmah University, Alhaji Chief (Dr.) Abdulraheem Oladimeji OFR, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. LF Oladimeji, and other principal officers of the University, as well as Deans, Directors, Heads of departments, staff members and students.

Similarly, the Grand Khadi of the Kwara State court of appeal Ilorin, Hon. Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen was in attendance as the distinguished guest of honor. 

At the programme, two distinguished personalities received the “Servant of the Qur’an” award for their outstanding services and contributions to the preservation of the Noble Qur’an. They are: Alhaji Hon. Afees Adelowo Jimoh Onaara, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Chaste Intellect International School, Ilorin, and Alhaji Barrister Ibrahim Atanda, Proprietor, Ar-Raheem International School for Qur’anic Memorisation and Arabic Studies and Ar-Raheem International College, Madi Village, Ilorin.

At the event, winners received cash prizes from the Centre for Islamic Heritage, Founder of Al-Hikmah University, Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, the Grand Khadi of Kwara State Sharia Court of Appeal, as well as the proprietor of Ar-Raheem International School.

The participants expressed satisfaction with the programme and thanked the organizers for a well conducted competition.
