Aminu Saleh College of Education Announces Mid-Semester and Sallah Break

The Management of Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare, Bauchi State, has announced the suspension of academic and administrative activities in the institution for the Mid-Semester and Sallah Break.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar and signed on behalf of the Registrar, Abdullahi Babbaji Dala, the break will commence on Monday, 9th March 2026 and end on Sunday, 22nd March 2026.

The notice informed all staff, students, and the general public that normal activities in the College will be temporarily suspended during the period. However, certain offices involved in admission and registration processes are required to remain operational throughout the break.

Specifically, staff in charge of Admissions, Central Registration (ICT Unit), Academic Unit, and Departmental Registrations have been directed to report to duty daily between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. during the break. This arrangement is to enable the continuation of important processes such as admission, registration, and the collection of results and certificates.

Furthermore, the circular stated that staff providing essential services are exempted from the break. These include personnel working in Security, Bursary, Animal Herding, Borehole Operations, and the College Clinic, who are expected to continue their duties as usual.

The College Management also announced that normal academic and administrative activities will resume on Monday, 23rd March 2026.

The notice was signed by Muhammad Dahiru Ahijo on behalf of the Registrar.

Copies of the circular were forwarded to all Principal Officers, Deans, Directors, Sectional and Unit Heads, Heads of Departments, Coordinators, Chairmen of COAESU, SSUCOEAN, NASU and WICE, the SUG President, as well as students’ hostels and notice boards for proper dissemination.
