Anambra Assembly Speaker Commends UNIZIK Stability As Vice-Chancellor Reaffirms Commitment To Merit-Based Reforms

The Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly has commended the renewed stability and progress recorded at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, while the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to merit, transparency and institutional reforms.

The commendation was made during an engagement involving the university leadership and stakeholders, where the Speaker acknowledged the positive changes taking place within the institution and expressed optimism about UNIZIK’s continued growth under the current administration.

Prof. Anyaehie said his administration remains focused on strengthening institutional structures, promoting competence and ensuring that appointments, contracts and other opportunities within the university are guided by merit and established procedures.
