ATBU Students' Union Government Issues Safety Alert and Guidelines

The Students' Union Government (SUG) of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi, has issued a safety alert and guidelines to ensure the security and well-being of students on and off campus.

 

Following a joint meeting with the Dean of Students Affairs Division, the Chief Security Officer, and the Chairman of the Security Advisory Committee, the SUG has announced that armed security personnel will be patrolling the school premises and surrounding off-campus areas, effective immediately.

 

To ensure students' safety, the SUG has issued the following guidelines:

1. Always carry your school Identity Card.

2. Walk in groups, especially at night.

3. Use a torchlight when moving around after dark.

4. Avoid using phone flashlights at night.

5. Steer clear of dark or poorly lit areas.

 

The SUG emphasizes that students' safety is of utmost importance and urges everyone to remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring a secure environment.
