Admission requirements for HND programmes include:
- National Diploma (ND) or equivalent qualification from NBTE-accredited institutions
- Minimum of five O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings
- One year Industrial Training (IT) for merit/pass holders or two years for pass grade holders
- NBTE-certified IT completion certificate
- JAMB admission letter and registration number (mandatory for NYSC eligibility)
- Submission of academic transcripts (except Auchi Polytechnic graduates)
- Compliance with specific departmental subject requirements
Additional requirements include:
- Mass Communication: Credit in Literature in English
- Accountancy: Credit in Economics
- Business Administration: Credit in Economics or Commerce
- Estate Management: Credit in Economics or Geography
- Urban and Regional Planning: Credit in Economics or Geography
- Public Administration: Credit in Government/History/Civic Education plus English and Mathematics
- Engineering and Science-based programmes require relevant science subject credits
Professional Diploma programmes include:
- Building Technology (minimum lower credit HND in Building Technology plus NYSC)
- Urban and Regional Planning (upper credit HND or equivalent, plus NYSC and cognate experience as applicable)

Application procedure includes:
- Visit the official portal and select programme type
- Create login credentials
- Generate Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
- Make payment via bank or approved channels
- Complete online application form
- Upload passport photograph and credentials
- Print acknowledgment slip and application summary
- Submit required hard copies of documents where necessary
