Auchi Polytechnic Matriculates 8,985 Fresh Students for 2025/2026 Session

Auchi Polytechnic successfully matriculated 8,985 new students into its various programmes during a vibrant ceremony held at the New Polytechnic Auditorium yesterday, formally welcoming the 2025/2026 intake.

The new students include 3,871 in National Diploma (ND) programmes, 4,757 in Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes, and 357 in Degree programmes, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s academic calendar.

Addressing the students, Dr. S.S. Umar, Rector of Auchi Polytechnic and Chairman of the Committee of Federal Polytechnic Rectors (COFER), congratulated them on their admission into one of Nigeria’s leading polytechnics, renowned for practical skills and innovative training. He urged the students to remain focused on their studies, fully utilize the institution’s facilities, and maintain discipline by avoiding cultism, examination malpractices, indecent dressing, drug abuse, and other vices that attract strict sanctions.

Dr. Umar concluded his address by wishing all students a fruitful, peaceful, and successful academic session, emphasizing the importance of personal integrity and academic excellence.

The colourful matriculation ceremony marks the official start of academic activities for the fresh intakes, highlighting Auchi Polytechnic’s commitment to producing skilled and responsible graduates for Nigeria and beyond.
