Borno State University Receives Firefighting Vehicle from Borno State Government

Borno State University (BOSU) has received a brand-new firefighting vehicle from Borno State Government through the Ministry of Information and Internal Security.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Babagana Gutti, formally took delivery of the truck, which was presented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Malam Aminu Chamalwa, on behalf of the Executive Governor and the Honourable Commissioner.

While presenting the vehicle, Malam Chamalwa stated that the truck is brand new and in excellent condition, noting that it would complement the university’s existing safety and emergency response structures.

In his remarks, Professor Gutti expressed his appreciation to the Executive Governor and the Honourable Commissioner for their continuous support to BOSU. He assured that the university would ensure the safety and proper maintenance of the vehicle, adding that staff and security personnel would be trained in its operation to enhance campus safety.

Professor Gutti also thanked the Commissioner for Information and Internal Security Professor Usman Tar for his continued support to BOSU especially for facilitating the movement of security check point from the University gate to a new location after the BOSU Medical college, thereby enhancing security of the college.
