The Executive Governor of Borno State and Visitor to the University has approved and signed into law the bill renaming Borno State University to Kashim Ibrahim University, with effect from August 4, 2025.
Following this development, all official documents, correspondence, and circulars within and outside the institution are to reflect the new name.
The management has directed all Principal Officers, Provosts, Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments/Units to take note of the change and ensure strict compliance.
