BUK Management Announces Commencement of 2025/2026 Academic Session

The Management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has officially announced the resumption dates and administrative guidelines for the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to an official special bulletin issued by the university administration on Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the new academic calendar will officially take effect on Monday, 18 May 2026, for both fresh and returning students.

Approved courses alongside their respective codes have been fully uploaded onto the university portal to enable immediate student registration.

Faculty officers have been instructed to ensure that all lecture halls and theatres are cleared, cleaned, and prepared to host classes starting day one.

The management emphasized that all academic activities will begin in earnest, advising students to attend lectures promptly as lost time will not be recovered.

To enforce strict adherence to the calendar, the Vice-Chancellor’s Monitoring Team will begin unannounced inspection visits across all faculties starting Monday, 18 May 2026. Deans, Heads of Departments, and Faculty Examination Officers have been instructed to mobilize teaching staff and academic technologists to guarantee a seamless take-off.
