BUK Student Union Reopens Bridge Educational Scholarship Portal to Expand Access

In a proactive move to support student welfare, the Student Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has officially reopened the application portal for the Bridge Educational Scholarship.

The decision, announced on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, comes as a direct response to feedback indicating that many eligible students were unaware of the initial application window. By extending the deadline, the SUG leadership, under Comr. Abdulmudallib Kalli Sheriff, aims to ensure no deserving student is left behind due to a lack of information.

Comprehensive Tuition Coverage

The Bridge Educational Scholarship is a significant financial lifeline, designed to cover full tuition fees from 100 Level through to the final year of study. To ensure transparency and administrative efficiency, all scholarship payments are made directly to the university on behalf of the successful awardees.

This initiative underscores the SUG-BUK’s ongoing commitment to alleviating the financial burden on students and promoting academic excellence across all faculties.
