In a significant move to bolster its international standing, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, has finalized a high-level strategic partnership with the United States Consulate General in Lagos. The engagement is designed to open new frontiers for research, faculty exchanges, and expansive student opportunities.
Led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olalekan Asikhia, the delegation met with U.S. officials to align the university’s academic trajectory with global standards. Prof. Asikhia described the visit as a "deliberate and intentional step" toward positioning the institution within the global knowledge ecosystem.
The dialogue focused on revitalizing partnerships with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and advancing ongoing collaborations with Pennsylvania State University.
The U.S. Consulate team, led by Public Affairs Officer Julie Mackay, highlighted access to the prestigious Fulbright Program, which offers approximately 400 annual scholarships. This includes the Fulbright Specialist initiative to support research and curriculum development at Caleb University.
Discussions explored new pathways for AI research and international grants, aimed at equipping the Caleb community with cutting-edge resources.
