COOU Appoints Prof. Chinyelu Nkiruka Umeaku as Pioneer Head of Consultancy Services, Uli Campus

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) has announced the appointment of Prof. Chinyelu Nkiruka Umeaku as the first Head of Consultancy Services, Uli Campus, marking a significant step in the University’s drive to deepen industry collaboration and expand its consultancy portfolio.

Prof. Umeaku, an accomplished Environmental Health Biologist and Medical Microbiologist, has spent over two decades in teaching, research, and administrative leadership at COOU. Her appointment is expected to enhance innovation-driven engagements, strengthen external partnerships, and position the Consultancy Services Unit as a hub for problem-solving and impact-oriented services.

The new office will play a central role in advancing COOU’s industry linkages, generating opportunities for applied research, and supporting community-focused initiatives.
