COOU Lecturer Appointed Editor of Nigerian Association of Energy Economics
A lecturer at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Dr. Chukwunnoso Ekesiobi, has been appointed Editor of the Nigerian Association of Energy Economics following the association’s 19th annual conference held in Lagos.

The conference took place at the Civic Centre and brought together energy economists, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from across the country.
Dr. Ekesiobi, a member of the Department of Economics at the university, emerged into the editorial leadership position amid growing recognition of his contributions to economics and policy research.
His appointment comes shortly after his election as National Assistant Secretary of the Nigerian Economic Society, further strengthening his profile within Nigeria’s academic and professional economics community.
The newly elected executives of the association are led by Dr. Hassan Mahmud, who currently serves as Chief Economist at the Dangote Group.
Observers within the university community described the development as another indication of the growing academic visibility and national relevance of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University through the achievements of its academic staff.

The university management also congratulated Dr. Ekesiobi on the appointment, expressing confidence that his experience and expertise would contribute significantly to advancing research and policy discussions in Nigeria’s energy economics sector.
