Delta State University Postgraduate School Organizes Workshop on Research and National Development

The Delta State University (DELSU) Postgraduate School recently organized a two-day workshop themed "The Nexus Between Postgraduate Research, Industry, and National Development."

The workshop, which took place on July 31 and August 1, 2025, aimed to equip postgraduate students with relevant knowledge to conduct impactful research that adds value to the Nigerian society.

Professor Sunny Awhefeada, Dean of the Postgraduate School, emphasized the significance of research in enhancing economies and creating partnerships between universities, research institutes, industry, and government. He concluded that the ultimate purpose of research is national development ¹.

The workshop aligns with DELSU's vision of providing holistic education to its students, emphasizing the importance of research and innovation in national development.
