WAEC Temporarily Suspends Access to 2025 WASSCE Results Due to Technical Glitches

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that it will temporarily suspend access to the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results due to technical issues discovered during an internal review.

The glitches were found in subjects that underwent paper serialization, including Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics, implemented to curb examination malpractice.

The 2025 WASSCE results showed a record-low performance, with only 38% of candidates securing at least a credit in five subjects, including English and Mathematics. This has sparked widespread concerns about the state of education in Nigeria .
