Ebonyi Scholar, Comr. Nweze Isaiah Ifeanyi, Bags Distinction in MSc Software Engineering in the UK
Comrade Nweze Isaiah Ifeanyi, one of the beneficiaries of the Ebonyi State Government overseas postgraduate scholarship scheme championed by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has recorded another remarkable academic milestone after graduating with a Distinction in his MSc Software Engineering programme at University of Greater Manchester, United Kingdom.
His Master’s thesis, titled “Design and Development of a Blockchain-Based Web System for Verifying the Authenticity of Academic Certificates in Nigeria,” was shortlisted by the university as one of the best projects of the year, reflecting his strong research capability and technical excellence.
Recall that Comr. Nweze previously graduated with First Class Honours from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki, a feat that positioned him among over 200 Ebonyi indigenes selected for the prestigious postgraduate scholarship in the United Kingdom.
Beyond academics, Comr. Nweze currently serves as President of the Ebonyi Scholars and President of the Nigerian Students Association at the University of Greater Manchester, where he has played a vital role in fostering unity, peaceful coexistence, and collective success among Ebonyi scholars and the wider Nigerian student community.
Nweze currently serves as a lecturer in the department of Science and Computer Education in Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki.
During his undergraduate years, he also served as President of the Department of Science and Computer Education, demonstrating early leadership and commitment to service.
