The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has opened applications for its 2027 Young Graduates Immersion Programme, giving young Nigerians and other eligible citizens of ECOWAS member states the opportunity to gain one year of fully funded professional experience across the organisation's institutions and agencies.

The regional bloc announced the programme in a notice published on July 31, 2026, inviting qualified young graduates to apply for the prestigious career development initiative aimed at preparing the next generation of African professionals.

According to ECOWAS, the programme provides participants with the opportunity to contribute to regional integration efforts while acquiring practical experience, leadership skills and mentorship from experts across various sectors.

The organisation stated:

"ECOWAS is officially accepting applications for its one-year, fully paid professional immersion programme.

Eligibility Requirements

- To be eligible for the 2027 Young Graduates Immersion Programme, applicants must:

- Be a citizen of an ECOWAS member state, including Nigeria;

- Be 32 years old or younger at the time of application;

- Hold a degree in a relevant field from a recognised higher institution.

Application Deadline

Applications officially opened on July 31, 2026, and will remain open until August 31, 2026.

Interested candidates are advised to complete their applications before the deadline.
