The Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, has announced its 102nd Inaugural Lecture, scheduled for Tuesday, 17th March, 2026.

The lecture will be delivered by Professor Josephine Bolaji Edward, a Professor of Ecology and Environmental Biology in the Department of Zoology and Environmental Biology. Titled “The Synergy of Physicochemical Parameters, Plankton, Macroinvertebrates, and Fish as Indicators of Aquatic Health”, the presentation will examine how aquatic organisms and environmental factors interact and how these relationships can be used to assess the health and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems.

The event will hold at the University Auditorium, beginning at 2:00 PM, with guests expected to be seated by 1:30 PM.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor J. B. Ayodele, on behalf of the Governing Council and Senate, invites the university community, academics, researchers, students, and members of the public to attend. The lecture will be chaired by Professor O. L. Ademilua, Chairman of the Ceremonies Committee, while the Babalola of Ido-Ekiti, Ife Oluwole, will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.

Inaugural lectures are a longstanding academic tradition in Nigerian universities, providing newly promoted professors the platform to present their research contributions, academic journey, and scholarly insights to both the university community and the public.
