The visit focused on exploring areas of mutual benefit between both institutions, particularly in academic programming, capacity building and professional development initiatives.
The delegation from ABUAD Business School expressed strong admiration for the facilities and learning environment at Elizade University, noting the institution’s modern infrastructure, serene academic setting and well-developed human resource base.
They described the university as a growing model of academic excellence and innovation within Nigeria’s private university sector.
Speaking during the visit, the Team Lead and Executive Director of ABUAD Business School, Ibadan, Prof. Emmanuel Ayodeji, said the objective of the engagement was to build sustainable partnerships with institutions that share similar values in education and professional development.
He stated that Elizade University aligns with ABUAD’s vision of academic excellence and innovation-driven growth.
He said: “We are very satisfied with what we have seen in Elizade University. Our vision is to create strong partnerships with institutions that share similar aspirations in academic excellence, innovation and professional development.”

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor of Elizade University, Prof. Philip Oguntunde, welcomed the proposed partnership and expressed the institution’s readiness to engage in collaborative agreements that would promote mutual growth.
He noted that there are multiple areas of synergy between both institutions that can be leveraged for academic and institutional advancement.
The Registrar of the University, Mr. Omololu Adegbenro, highlighted the historical cordial relationship between both institutions, tracing it to the long-standing connection between their founders, Chief Michael Ade Ojo and Aare Afe Babalola.
He expressed optimism that the emerging partnership would deepen institutional cooperation in the years ahead.
Also speaking, the University Librarian, Dr. Ayooluwa Aregbesola, described the proposed collaboration as timely and strategically beneficial, noting that it aligns with the university’s commitment to academic growth and knowledge exchange.
As part of the visit, the ABUAD delegation toured key academic facilities across the university, including the Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Sciences, where they were received by Dr. Olugbenga Ogidan, and the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, where they were hosted by Mrs. Bola Oke.
