FCE (T) Gombe Management Pays Sympathy Visit to GSU Following Fire Incident
The Management of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe has paid a sympathy visit to the Gombe State University (GSU) following the recent fire outbreak that affected one of the female hostels in the institution.
During the visit, the College delegation conveyed heartfelt condolences to the management, staff, and students of GSU over the unfortunate incident, describing it as a painful and regrettable event that impacted the entire academic community in Gombe State.
Speaking on behalf of the College, the Acting Provost, Dr. Gazali Muhammed Abdulhamid, emphasized that as sister institutions within the state, such moments call for solidarity, compassion, and collective support. He further assured that FCE (T), Gombe, would stand by GSU to help mitigate the loss and challenges caused by the incident.
Dr. Abdulhamid reiterated the College’s commitment to promoting unity, empathy, and collaboration among tertiary institutions in Gombe State, especially in times of adversity.
In his response, the Vice Chancellor of Gombe State University, Prof. Sani Ahmed Yauta, expressed appreciation to the management of FCE (T), Gombe, for the visit, their words of comfort, and their demonstration of institutional solidarity. He also reaffirmed GSU’s readiness to sustain and strengthen the existing cordial relationship between the two institutions.
The Acting Provost was accompanied on the visit by the Deputy Provost (Administration), Dr. Ishaq Ahmed Mohammed; Bursar, Alh. Mohammed Gidado Ahmed; Director of Procurement, QS. Hamisu Garba Mohammed; Former Acting Bursar, Alh. Saidu Mohammed; Deputy Registrar (Council and Management Affairs), Mal. Haruna N. Ayuba; Dr. Yakubu Attahiru Liman, and other staff members from the Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol.
The management of FCE (T), Gombe, expressed prayers that such an unfortunate incident would not recur and wished the entire GSU community a speedy recovery and full restoration.
