Federal Polytechnic Bali Students Visit Technical and Broadcast Facilities

The Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department of the Federal Polytechnic Bali, Taraba State, has organized a one-day educational excursion for its students to key technical and broadcast facilities in Jalingo. The students visited the Jalingo Work Centre 132/33KV, Taraba State Broadcasting Station, Nigerian Television Authority, and Taraba Television.

During the visit, the students were exposed to various equipment and technologies used in the broadcasting and electrical industries. They received explanations on the functions of grounding transformers, mixers, decoders, transmitters, and routers, among others.

The Head of the Electrical/Electronic Engineering Department, Engr. Buhari M. Buhari, said the excursion aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and to build the students' industrial skills and self-reliance. He appreciated the Polytechnic Authority's support for the excursion, noting that it would reinforce classroom knowledge and prepare the students for life after graduation.

The excursion provided the students with a valuable opportunity to see and learn about the practical applications of the concepts they study in class. It also gave them insight into the operations of key technical and broadcast facilities in the state.
