Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Takes Lead in Open, Distance and Flexible E-Learning

The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has taken the lead in advancing Open, Distance and Flexible E-Learning (ODFeL), an initiative aimed at expanding access to flexible learning opportunities.

As part of efforts to actualise the programme, a delegation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) visited the institution to assess its preparedness and accredit it for implementation.

The visit involved an assessment of the institution's readiness to commence the programme, followed by a one-day workshop organised by the NBTE in collaboration with the Polytechnic. The workshop was designed to highlight the significance of the programme and sensitise stakeholders on how to embrace the milestone.

Speaking at the occasion, the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Professor Idris Bugaje, commended the Management of the Polytechnic for embracing the ODFeL system.
