Federal Polytechnic, Oko Holds Candlelight Procession in Honor of Late Bursar

The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, paid a heartfelt tribute to its late Bursar, Mr. Stephen Udu, with a solemn candlelight procession on September 2, 2025. The ceremony, attended by staff, students, and well-wishers, was a poignant celebration of Mr. Udu's life and dedication to the institution.

Rector Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie described Mr. Udu as a diligent and loyal servant, saying, "This candlelight procession is not just a ceremony but a heartfelt tribute to a man who gave his best in faithful service to Federal Polytechnic, Oko." Other speakers, including Deputy Rector Dr. Kenneth Ezekwe, Polytechnic Librarian Dr. Nwabu Ezemba, and SANIP Chairman Comrade Nonso Obi, shared fond memories of Mr. Udu's good character, humility, and commitment to duty.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the repose of Mr. Udu's soul and comfort for his family, colleagues, and friends. Dr. Obiajulu Ofodile encouraged staff to emulate Mr. Udu's exemplary life and improve their working relationships. The event was a fitting tribute to a dedicated public servant who left a lasting impact on the Federal Polytechnic, Oko community.
