Federal University Lokoja Hosts 2024 Confluence Geoconference
The conference aims to explore the development of critical minerals and energy resources, addressing challenges and opportunities in the digital and data-driven global economy.
The Department of Geology at Federal University Lokoja (FUL) is set to hold its 1st Annual International Conference and Exhibitions, themed *"Developing Critical Minerals and Energy Resources in a Data-driven Global and Digital Economy,"* from September 15th to 20th, 2024, at the College of Health Sciences, Adankolo Campus.
The event, known as the Confluence Geoconference 2024, will be hosted by FUL’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi, and chaired by Hon. Jonathan Gbefwi Gaza, Chairman of the House Committee on Solid Minerals, National Assembly, Abuja.
Professor Nuhu George Obaje, NNPC Ltd Chair Professor for Basinal Studies, will serve as the keynote speaker. The Chairman of the Conference Planning Committee (CPC), Professor Aaron Enechojo Auduson, HOD of FUL Geology and President of the Nigerian Geosciences Union (NGU), is overseeing the event.
