Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Announces Matriculation Ceremony for 2025/2026 Session

Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has informed all matriculating students that the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Session, alongside the 13th Commencement Lecture, will hold on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, at the Professor Oluwafemi Balogun Ceremonial Building.

According to Dr. A. O. Salaam, Deputy Registrar I, Senate and Admission, all matriculants are required by regulation to wear academic gowns. Gowns and caps will be available from the Colleges starting Monday, 17th November 2025, and must be returned by Monday, 24th November 2025 at 12 noon. Failure to return the items on time will attract a fine of ₦20,000, while any lost gown or cap will require a replacement fee of ₦30,000.

Matriculants are also required to present a photocopy of evidence of payment of school fees for the 2025/2026 session at their College Office before collecting gowns and caps.

The ceremony will commence promptly at 10:00 a.m., and all entrances will be closed once the Vice-Chancellor’s procession begins. Students are therefore advised to be seated by 9:30 a.m.

Matriculation will only be considered complete after signing the Matriculation Oath online; failure to do so means the student is not officially enrolled in the University.
