Federal University of Lafia Restructures Faculty of Science

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia has approved the division of the Faculty of Science into two faculties: the Faculty of Life Sciences and the Faculty of Physical Sciences.

The Faculty of Life Sciences will comprise the departments of Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Plant Science & Biotechnology, and Science Laboratory Technology. The Faculty of Physical Sciences will house the departments of Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Geology, and Mathematics.

This restructuring is expected to enhance the university's academic offerings and research capabilities, allowing for more focused and specialized programs in the respective fields.
