Federal University of Technology, Minna, Schedules 34th Convocation Ceremony for February 1, 2026

The Management of the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, has officially announced the dates and procedures for its 34th Convocation Ceremony.

The event, which will honor both undergraduate and postgraduate students from the 2024/2025 academic session, is set to take place in February 2026.

According to an official statement released by the Registrar's Office on January 14, 2026, the main ceremony details are as follows:

Date: Sunday, February 1, 2026

Venue: Suleimanu Kumo Convocation Square, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano

Attendees: All Graduating Students (Undergraduate and Postgraduate)

Graduating students are instructed to collect their academic gowns from their respective School Secretaries beginning Monday, January 26, 2026.

The academic gowns must be returned immediately after the convocation ceremony, starting from Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the point where certificates are collected.

The University has established strict deadlines and penalties for the return of the academic regalia, failure to return the gown on time will result in a late submission penalty charge of ₦2,000.00 per day. Any loss of an academic gown will require complete replacement at a cost of ₦38,000.00.

The announcement, signed by Mrs. Omolola O. Alhassan, Deputy Registrar (Academic), on behalf of the Registrar, urges all students to be guided accordingly and adhere strictly to the directives.
