Five research teams from the University of Africa, Toru-Orua (UAT) have been awarded research grants under the Bayelsa State Education Development Trust Fund (EDTF) 2026 Tertiary Institutions Research Grants Scheme.

The award ceremony was held in Yenagoa and brought together heads of tertiary institutions, researchers and key stakeholders in Bayelsa State’s education sector.

During the event, the Fund unveiled the beneficiaries of this year’s research grants, which are aimed at promoting innovation and supporting research projects that address local development challenges.
