The 17th Governing Council of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has officially approved the appointment of Professor Princewill R. Chike as the institution's 10th substantive Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Chike, an eminent Professor of Medicine and former Rivers State Commissioner for Health, is scheduled to formally assume office on July 13, 2026.
