FULafia Vice-Chancellor Appoints Dr Bashir Ozomata as Chief of Staff

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, has approved the appointment of Dr Bashir Ozomata as Chief of Staff to the Vice-Chancellor.

‎The appointment forms part of the Vice-Chancellor’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative efficiency, enhance coordination within the Vice-Chancellor’s office, and ensure the effective implementation of the University’s policies and strategic direction.

‎Dr Ozomata is a seasoned administrator and academic with extensive experience in university administration, teaching, and research. 

‎He holds a doctoral degree and has, over the years, distinguished himself through active engagement in academic scholarship and dedicated institutional service.

‎Notably, Dr Ozomata has served as Administrative Secretary to both the second and third vice-chancellors of FULafia, a role in which he contributed significantly to policy implementation, committee administration, and organisational leadership within the University system. 

‎His experience spans both administrative and academic responsibilities, providing him with a broad and practical understanding of university governance.

‎As Chief of Staff, Dr Ozomata will be responsible for coordinating the Vice-Chancellor’s official engagements, providing strategic administrative support, and ensuring seamless communication between the Vice-Chancellor’s office and other units of the University.

‎He is also expected to play a key role in supporting high-level decision-making processes and enhancing operational effectiveness at the apex of the University’s administration.

‎The University Management has expressed confidence that Dr Ozomata’s academic depth, administrative experience, and commitment to excellence will add significant value to the Vice-Chancellor’s office and further advance FULafia’s mandate in teaching, research, and community service.

‎The appointment takes immediate effect.
