FULafia Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kida, Named Patron of COMYSPI

The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lafia, FULafia, Professor Mohammed Isa Kida, has been named Patron of the Coalition of Muslim Youth Society for Peace Initiative, COMYSPI.

The National Ameer of COMYSPI, Ameer Muhammad Taofeeq, decorated Professor Kida on behalf of the organisation’s leadership and members nationwide.

Ameer Taofeeq said Professor Kida was chosen for his leadership qualities, describing him as an academic and administrator known for knowledge, discipline, humility and service. 

He commended the Vice-Chancellor for his contributions to education and efforts to promote peaceful coexistence among students of diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds.

According to him, the appointment was both an honour to and a call on Professor Kida to guide and mentor youths. He stated that the main aim of the coalition is to promote peace, religious tolerance, youth empowerment and national unity.

Responding, Professor Kida thanked COMYSPI for the honour. He urged members to uphold the association’s constitution and remain committed to peace, unity and integrity in their activities.
