FUNAAB CVE Alumni Return with ₦2m Worth of Chairs to COLENG

What began as nostalgic return to their alma mater has blossomed into lasting gesture of giving back, as 2011/2012 Civil Engineering (CVE) Set of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), donated 40 pieces of 2-seater chairs worth ₦2 million to College of Engineering (COLENG).

Donation, according to alumni, was inspired by simple but powerful conviction that those who once benefited from FUNAAB's learning environment should also help make it better for those coming behind them. Gesture is therefore expected to provide immediate comfort for students, while reinforcing culture of alumni contribution to development of University.

Presenting items on behalf of set, Engr. Sunday Adeyemo said initiative was conceived as practical way of contributing to welfare of current students and improving their learning environment.

Recounting what inspired donation, Engr. Adeyemo disclosed his visit to FUNAAB previous year left him concerned about condition of space, prompting discussions among members of his set on how they could make difference.
