2. Qualifications and Experience
(a) Professor
- Salary: CONUASS 7 (₦7,352,847.00 – ₦9,476,689.00 per annum)
- Must hold a Ph.D. in the relevant field.
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience in a university system.
- Evidence of publications in reputable local and international journals.
- Proven academic leadership through postgraduate supervision and ability to attract research funding.
(b) Reader / Associate Professor
- Salary: CONUASS 6 (₦6,649,080.06 – ₦8,364,017.00 per annum)
- Minimum of a Ph.D. with at least 8 years of teaching and research experience.
- Evidence of publications and academic leadership.
(c) Senior Lecturer
- Salary: CONUASS 5 (₦5,073,220.00 – ₦6,708,212.00 per annum)
- Minimum of a Ph.D. with at least 6 years of university teaching and research experience.
- Must show academic evidence through publications and mentorship of postgraduate students.
(d) Lecturer I
- Salary: CONUASS 4 (₦3,531,653.00 – ₦4,387,475.00 per annum)
- Minimum of a Ph.D. with at least 4 years of teaching and research experience in a university.
(e) Lecturer II
- Salary: CONUASS 3 (₦2,497,897.00 – ₦3,150,661.00 per annum)
- A Ph.D. or Master’s degree with proven research competence may be accepted for consideration.
(f) Assistant Lecturer
- Salary: CONUASS 2 (₦2,194,062.00 – ₦2,884,855.00 per annum)
- Master’s degree in the relevant discipline and evidence of readiness to pursue a Ph.D.
3. Special Requirements
- Candidates in the Department of Medicine and Surgery must possess Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African Postgraduate Medical College.
- Candidates for Nursing Science must have Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Nursing, and be duly registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- For Architecture, registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is required.
- For Law, candidates must be called to the Nigerian Bar and registered with the Council of Legal Education.
