FUTA Reaffirms Academic Integrity as JUPEB Supervisors Commend Examination Conduct

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has reinforced its zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice during the University Advanced Basic Studies (UABS) Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) examinations, which ran from Monday, August 4, to Friday, August 15, 2025.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has reinforced its zero-tolerance policy on examination malpractice during the University Advanced Basic Studies (UABS) Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) examinations, which ran from Monday, August 4, to Friday, August 15, 2025.

On Monday, August 11, 2025, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Adenike Oladiji, welcomed JUPEB supervisors, Professor Olawoye Moses from the University of Lagos and Dr. Olabode Babalola from Obafemi Awolowo University, who were on ground to monitor the examinations. Both supervisors commended FUTA for the smooth, transparent, and credible conduct of the exercise, describing the institution as a model for integrity in academic assessment.

Professor Oladiji, who undertook an assessment tour of the examination centers, reaffirmed the university’s uncompromising stand against malpractice. She emphasized that FUTA will continue to uphold global best practices in testing and evaluation, stressing that only merit and hard work will determine student success.

She further applauded the students and invigilators for their discipline and compliance with examination regulations, assuring that FUTA remains committed to producing graduates whose character matches their academic competence.
